Says Kashmiri youth being pushed to wall by Modi led govt

Srinagar Apr, 25 (KNS): People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that she had no expectation from PM Modi’s visit as people especially the youth of Kashmir have been pushed to the wall by the same dispensation.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Mehbooba said that she does not know what future the Prime Minister is talking about for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir when they have to face the wrath of administration.

Responding to PM Modi’s reach out remark to Kashmiri youth, she said that the youths here are facing charges of PSA and UAPA what their grandparents and parents didn't saw.

She said that jobs and other resources are being given to outsiders, while local youth here are pushed to the wall.

She added that electricity that is being generated in J&K is supplied to outside to illuminate thousands of factories, industries and houses, but J&K had been pushed into worst kind of darkness as during Sehri and Iftar times people are facing worst power cuts.

Mehbooba said that J&K is witnessing unemployment of 25 percent and instead of giving people jobs, they are being fired.

She also said that Jammu and Kashmir hand joined the hands with secular India and not with present India, where homes of Muslims, largest minority of the country, are being bulldozed.

“The method of dialogue adopted by Vajpayee and the act of humanity to stop bloodshed, whether it was with neighbouring country or the people of Jammu and Kashmir is nowhere to be seen,” she said. (KNS)
