Srinagar, June 28 (KNS): A gunfight broke out between militants and the security forces in the outskirts of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Monday, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the gunfight broke out in Malhoora locality of Parimpora in Srinagar today.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police on its official Twitter handle said: “#Encounter started at Malhoora #Parimpora area of #Srinagar. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice" (KNS)
