Srinagar, July 10 (KNS): A gunfight broke out between militants and the security forces in Kwarigam Ranipora area of  South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the gunfight broke out in Kwarigam Ranipora area of Anantnag today.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police on its official Twitter handle said:
"Encounter has started at Kwarigam, Ranipora area of #Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice". (KNS)
