Srinagar, June 30 (KNS): A gunfight broke out between militants and the security forces in Chimmer area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the gunfight broke out in Chimmer area of Kulgam today.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police on its official Twitter handle said: “#Encounter started at Chimmer area of #Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice" (KNS)
