Srinagar, November 06 (KNS): Managing Director Syed Qamar Sajad on Thursday said that the Gulmarg Cable Car, one of Asia’s highest and longest gondolas, is now operating at full capacity after a major upgrade, as the facility can now handle up to 9,000 visitors a day.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sajad said the maintenance and technical teams worked round the clock to complete the upgradation before the winter season. The hydraulic and brake systems, both vital to the Gondola’s operation, have been fully overhauled after several years.
He said the system is now 100 percent safe and efficient, with performance at its peak.
