Guilty won’t go away “unpunished”: Ashok Koul

Srinagar, Dec 19 (KNS): BJP senior leader Ashok Koul Saturday said that whosoever would be guilty in J&K Cricket Scam won’t go away “unpunished”.
Talking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Koul was replying on Dr Farooq’s property attachment by Enforcement Directorate (ED). He said whosoever had committed any wrongdoing would be dealt sternly.
When asked any influence of BJP in the development, the BJP leader categorically rejected the allegations, saying “It is not a political gimmick by BJP, instead the orders of High Court which are being executed on ground”.
“BJP’s stand is clear that any person indulged in scams and misappropriations should be dealt strictly and there is no discrimination in it”, Koul said.
He added the then J&K BJP President Shamsher Singh protested when this multi-crore scam unearthed but no action was taken that time. “Singh protested against this misappropriation and urged the then Government to order an enquiry and deal the guilty sternly. But as there was Government of regional politicians then, his protest was ignored and hushed-up”, Koul said.
“Whosoever would be found guilty, shouldn’t go away unpunished”, Koul further added. (KNS)
