Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): GRP Srinagar on Thursday organised Thana Diwas in complaince to circular of PHQ JK Police and directions of senior formations.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), during Thana Diwas meeting, about 25 respectable persons of the area attended were present and they were briefed to follow norms and rules as per Railway Act.

It added that special briefing was given regarding unnecessary movement of local people on railway tracks.

“Moreover, pamphlets containing guidelines were also distributed among the participants.”

SHO GRP sSrinagar, station master Railway station Srinagar also briefed students, daily passengers, drivers and agents of local transport.

“Special instructions were given to the transporters that no vehicle will be allowed in the premises of station without proper General Revenue slip of the Railways Authorities.”

It added participants also raised their demands before station master Srinagar. (KNS)
