Srinagar, Sep 29 (KNS): The Grand Mufti of Syria Dr. Ahmad Badr Al Din Hussain called on top Shia cleric Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, who is also Minister for Information Technology,Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports to discuss uncertainty and present political scenario in Muslim world.
It was informed that we have initiated a campaign to form a consensus and to urge all Muslim clerics to work to discredit groups espousing extremism and debunk those unscrupulous elements who sow hatred between the various sects of Muslims.Besides, the Grand Mufti said that initiatives need to taken to inculcate good values of fraternity, integrity and peace among young generation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
During the meeting,the Minister said that Islam is the religion of peace and some elements are hell bent to defame this peaceful religion and destroying Muslim societies.
During the visit,the Grand Mufti was accompanied by Ambassador of Syria to India, Dr. Riad Abbas; Advisor in Syrian Embassy, Nazen Nasri and other officials of Syrian Embassy besides Regional Director, ICCR, Balwant Thakur. (KNS)
