Bandipora, May 28(KNS): A vibrant atmosphere has returned to Bandipora as the much-awaited Kashmir Valley Fun Fair Mela officially commenced at Kaloosa, drawing huge enthusiasm from children, youth, and families from across the district. The grand fair, known for its colourful entertainment and festive charm, will continue till 15 June.
The mela offers a unique blend of fun, excitement, shopping, and entertainment, making it one of the major attractions of the summer season in north Kashmir. From thrilling rides and gaming zones to delicious food stalls and shopping outlets, the fair has become a favourite destination for people looking to spend quality time with family and friends.
Large numbers of visitors were seen enjoying the various attractions on the opening days, while children especially appeared excited about the amusement rides and activities arranged at the venue.

Locals have welcomed the mela, saying such events bring happiness and recreational opportunities for the public while also creating a lively atmosphere in the town. Many visitors termed the fair a “unique show” and appreciated the arrangements made for public entertainment.
The organisers said the mela will remain open daily till June 15 and invited people from Bandipora as well as nearby districts to visit and enjoy the grand event.
