Kulgam, Mar 18 (KNS): Grameen contractor’s association president, Haji Gh Nabi Lone has welcomed the assurances given by Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari to the central coordination committee members regarding revoking e-billing and clearing of liabilities of contractors pending from long time now.
Haji Gh Nabi Lone reacted to this decision taken by the Govt and in an exclusive interview said though we are thankful to the government for giving assurances to the contractors for fulfilling long pending demands but added the need of the hour is to implement these assurances on the ground level for the benefit of contractors. He added finance minister Altaf Bukhari is a mature man and we have firm faith on him. He said transparency must be ensured in all departments like police Housing Corporation, estates and JKPCC for allotting works so that all contractors get benefitted by the E. Tendering. Remember central coordination committee members have called off strike after meeting with finance minister yesterday. (KNS)
