Srinagar Dec 14 (KNS) : A joint delegation of graduate engineers, led by the Presidents of the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) and the Jammu & Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA), on sunday met Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary and Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani at the Civil Secretariat here.
The delegation highlighted several long-pending issues concerning the engineering fraternity, including issuance of the SRO for Assured Career Progression (ACP), placement against vacant posts, regularisation of engineers in the PWD (R&B) and Mechanical Engineering departments, and immediate referral of vacant JE (Mechanical) posts to recruitment agencies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary gave a patient hearing and assured prompt action to address the concerns.
During a detailed discussion with Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, the delegation stressed that implementation of the ACP scheme is crucial to end career stagnation caused by limited promotional avenues at senior levels. The Advisor assured positive and immediate steps towards implementation of the ACP scheme.(KNS)
