Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNS): Hurriyat (M) Monday said that the Lal-Chowk Chalo program of unified resistance leadership of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik’s was sabotaged by placing restrictions and curbs in these areas.
According to a statement issued to KNS, the Mirwaiz who had to march from his Nigeen residence to Lal Chowk continued to remain under house arrest while all roads leading to his residence were sealed and extra forces outside his residence were deployed by the authorities to prevent him from marching towards Lal Chowk.

He said it was an attempt to create a wedge between the resistance leadership and freedom-loving people and also to hoodwink the international community from the real situation of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, besides other parts of Kashmir, as per the unified resistance leadership’s ‘Lal Chowk March’, Hurriyat activists staged a peaceful protest march from Naqshband Sahab shrine, which was dispersed by the government forces by using brutal force and violence.
According to the spokesman, a senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited Tral residence of martyr Burhan Wani and expressed solidarity with his father Muzaffar Ahmad Wani, other family members and the people of Tral.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also conveyed them the condolence message of the incarcerated APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq and the unified resistance leaders and paid glowing tributes to martyr Burhan Wani and all the recent martyrs.

He said that they are promise-bound to take Kashmir issue to its logical conclusion by continuing to fight for the right to self determination and resolving it as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris.
Meanwhile the amalgam spokesman denounced the continued arrest and house arrest of resistance leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and Engineer Hilal Ahmad War besides dozens of Hurriyat leaders and hundreds of its activists and said these oppressive tactics would not yield the ruling class anything as Kashmiris were united, had shown consistency, and were determined to take the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion.
Condemning the shelling and firing by government forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam and Tral areas and north Kashmir’s Palhalan area, the spokesman said over a dozen people had been injured critically while the eye sight of two among them had been damaged. He criticized the ruling class for not even allowing people to peacefully raise their voice of protest, which was dictatorial and undemocratic. (KNS)
