LG says probe committee will be headed by Additional Chief Secretary Home

Srinagar, June 09 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Thursday ordered probe into the alleged fraud in Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector examination conducted by JKSSB.
 
Addressing a function at Udhampur, LG Sinha said that for the last few days there have been news reports about fraud in the recruitment process of J&K police Sub-Inspector.
 
“Keeping that in view, we have decided to hold an enquiry into the alleged fraud and a committee has been constituted for the same, which will be headed by Additional Chief Secretary Home, R K Goyal,” he said.
 
He added that the probe will be conducted in a transparent and time-bound manner and if anything wrong is found, the entire process will be declared null and void and recruitment will be done in a transparent manner.
 
LG further said that he was satisfied till now every recruitment was done in a transparent manner and no questions were raised against any recruitment process. 
 
“So I believe it is the duty of the administration to conduct a transparent probe into the allegations of fraud in SI exams, so that immediate actions is taken in this regard,” he said. (KNS)
