Srinagar, March 06 (KNS): The authorities on Monday ordered enquiry into the alleged misconduct of president Municipal Committee Handwara

According to the order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), incharge Chief Town Planner of Town Planning Organisation, Iftikhar Ahmed has been appointed as inquiry officer to conduct a detailed enquiry against the alleged misconduct of president MC Handwara.

The order also states as a principle of natural justice, a reasonable opportunity of being heard shall be given to the president concerned.

The inquiry officer has been directed to submit his report within 15 days. 

Meanwhile, president MC Handwara Masroor Banday told KNS that he will fully cooperate with the enquiry team. 

"Being an elected representative I am answerable to my people. I will give my full cooperation to enquiry team and will not escape from my moral duty,” he said. (KNS)
