Govt orders complete restriction on non-essential movement from 9 pm to 6 am in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 05 (KNS): The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday ordered complete restriction of non-essential movement in the entire UT from 9 pm to 6 am till further orders. 

According to an order issued by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary, who is also the chairman state executive committee, in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases in J&K, there will be complete restriction on non-essential movement from 9 pm to 6 am till further orders.

The order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS) has been issued under under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and following a meeting chaired by the chairman State Executive Committee with the ACS (Health and Medical Education) and other senior Health functionaries today.

”In view of the increase in number of COVID-19 cases in the entire J&K it is hereby ordered that there shall be a complete restriction on non-essential movement in the entire UT of J&K from 9 pm to 6 am till further Orders,” it reads. (KNS)
