Budgam, Aug 11 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Budgam constituency incharge Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi on Sunday stopped a demolition drive in Karipora village of Budgam, accusing the government of taking over private land without consent or consultation.
Muntazir, who visited the spot, said such actions are part of a “larger plan to dehumanise every section of society in J&K.” He alleged that people are being denied equal rights and policies are being imposed from above, recalling the loss of autonomy after the abrogation of Article 370.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“In neighbouring Karipora, people are refused permission to build homes as the land is declared ‘notified’ without informing them. There is no consultation, no consent, only loss of control over our own land,” he said.
The PDP leader assured residents of Budgam that he will fight alongside them to protect their land.(KNS)
