Jammu, Feb 04 (KNS): Terming government non serious towards the plight of people suffering due to continuous affect on vehicular traffic on Jammu Srinagar highway, Youth National Conference here has demanded that all kind of special arrangements should be made in Chenab valley which is bearing burnt due to frequent affect on traffic on highway.
In a statement issued to KNS, he said that condition of National Highway from Jammu to Srinagar is turning from bad to worst and government should come up with a proper policy to help out people affected due to frequent suspension of traffic.
“Although we cannot fight with weather but government should have elaborate arrangements to help out the affected people who get stranded whenever NHW is closed” Jan said.
He castigated government for its carelessness towards the situation and said that state government has so far done nothing to deal with the situation rather than has acted as a mute spectator and government and it's departments are merely issuing advisories on traffic movement that too after blockage of traffic.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Pointing out towards the sufferings of people living in Chenab valley, Jan said that government should also pay concern to the suffering of people living there who face immense hardships whenever highway is closed due to bad weather conditions.
“All type of basic arrangements should be made for Chenab valley as people living there are facing hardships due to frequent suspension of traffic on NHW in this season” Jan said.
“These arrangements include air shifting of patients to Jammu at the time of need” he added.
He also called for proper fooding as well as medical aid to those who get stuck on highway. (KNS)
