Vakil said J&K administration has failed to address concers of poor people who depend on daily earnings to feed their families.

A deputation of daily wagers of different departments met Vakil at his residence today and apprised him about their sufferings due governments apathy towards them by not releasing their wages.

While addressing the deputation Vakil said "It is surprising and unfortunate that the government is not releasing wages to those daily wagers who are working in different departments especially PDD, PHE, PWD, Agriculture, Fisheries and forests. Although It is these people who run the departments, make them functional and serve the people," Aanganwari workers and helpers are too sufferers of Governments indifferent attitude towards them, facing hardships as they too are deprived of their salaries on timely basis Vakil added.

He said the government was acting as a mute spectator to the suffering of these people and their families. "It is the responsibility of the administration to help these poor people to restore their life and livelihood especially those who make their both ends meet on daily earnings," Vakil said.
