Member Legislative Assembly, Pulwama Mohammad Khalil Bandh today said that Government is committed to upgrade the living standards of the people especially living in remote and hilly areas of the State. He said in this regard various major and minor developmental projects under different sectors are apace and on completion of these projects new changes will be seen on ground.
Mr. Band was interacting with the various deputations coming across from Pulwama district who called him at his official residence today.
He said various micro and macro developmental projects have been sanctioned for Pulwama Constituency adding that on completion of these schemes it will improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area besides providing employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The MLA said that Rs 35 lakh have been earmarked under Transmission and Distribution (T&D) for improvement and upgradation of LT/HT lines for Pulwama Constituency. He said directions were given to the Power Development Department (PDD) for immediate restoration of Receiving Station, Panzgam which was defunct from last week.
These deputations put forth their individual and collective problems including construction of lanes, drains, replacement of damaged poles, transformers and issuance of timber on concessional rates. The MLA gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned quarters for early redressal.
