Srinagar, August 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department has constituted a enuqiry committee to look into the referral of patients from Public Hospitals to private Hospitals for availing treatment /benefits under AB-PMJAY & SEHAT Schemes.
The order issued of Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Department M K Diwedi reads which lies with KNS reads: Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee comprising of the following Officers/officials to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the issue related to referral of patients by the accused doctors, from Public Hospitals to Private Hospitals for availing treatment/benefits under AB-PMJAY, & SEHAT Schemes."
Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, Mission Director National Health Mission, J&K will be chairman of the enquiry committee, Shakoor Ahmad Dar Deputy Secretary H&ME Department and Farooq Ahmad Thoker, Assistant Accounts officer, H&ME Department as members.
The Committee shall submit its report to the Administrative Department, with concrete recommendations/remedial measures to curb such type of incidents in future, order with Kashmir News Service (KNS), reads. The Committee shall also suggest measures for better implementation /monitoring of the Scheme (s) on monthly basis.
Meanwhile Health and Medical Education Department in another said that Pending enquiry into the allegations, regarding the issue related to the referral of patients from Public Hospitals to Private Hospitals for availing treatment
/benefits under AB-PMJAY & SEHAT Schemes, by the Committee constituted vide Government order No 610-JK(HME) of 2022 dated 11.08.2022, the following doctors are banned from doing any private practice in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, with immediate effect.
The doctors are Dr. Tufail Ahmad Lone, Dr. Noorudin Shah, Dr. Mudasir Shahdar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad, Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad Parrah. Their present place of posting are SDH Pattan, PCR Srinagar, SDH Magam, SDH Tangmarg and PHC Hajin. (KNS)
