Govt. asking employees to resume duties disastrous decision: Kadfeen

Srinagar, June 06 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Saturday questioned the government move of opening government offices in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the purpose for which these places were shut hasn’t yet been fulfilled.
Kadfeen in a statement issued to KNS, said that it is extremely worrisome to find the government taking bizarre and unnatural decisions without any compunction. He said that the recent order issued by General Administration Department is infested with the loopholes and seems to have been passed in a jiffy.
“When government ordered the closure of the government offices, same was done to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Now when it has ordered reopening of the offices, one should the authorities that whether they have achieved the objective. Has the curve been flattened? Have the numbers come down? Has the spread been less worrying than the past?,” asked Kadfeen.
He maintained that one reason that the government order directing employees to resume duties is full of flaws is because the government ahead of issuing such order has to resume the public transport on the roads. “How will the employees reach offices when the government itself has banned public transport? And wouldn’t such decision expose people to further dangers. One wonders who takes such decisions inside the power corridors of JK,” Kadfeens said. (KNS)
