 The PHE workers demands for regularisation are absolutely justified, some of them have already served the department for nearly two decades. “It doesn't reflect well on the current regime to make tall promises about financial assistance, Investor summits and packages worth crores, while Government employees haven't even been paid their due salaries from years together. It is beyond appalling that PHE employees have been ill treated over the years by successive regimes and made to suffer along with their families,” statement reads.

The Government of the day must also draft a policy for all daily wage employees across departments in which their regularisation after serving a fixed duration, must be ensured. Also it must be made incumbent on all concerned departments to timely disburse salaries of their employees, statement said.  (KNS)
