Baramulla, May 15 (KNS) : The Department of Psychology, Government Degree College Baramulla, in collaboration with Help Humans, organized a two-day CPR and First Aid Training Programme on May 14 and 15, 2026, at the college auditorium.
More than 100 students from the Department of Psychology participated in the programme.
The training sessions were conducted by noted Master Trainer Dr. Itinder Singh Bali, who provided practical and hands-on training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emergency response methods, and basic first aid skills.
The sessions were highly interactive and focused on preparing students to respond effectively during medical emergencies and accident situations. Demonstrations and practical exercises were conducted to help students understand life-saving techniques in a simple and effective manner.
The programme was coordinated by Neefiya Aslam, Program Head from Help Humans, along with her dedicated team, who played an important role in organising and conducting the event successfully. The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Kaiser Ahmad Dar, Head, Department of Psychology, Government Degree College Baramulla. Faculty members of the department also attended and supported the programme throughout the two days.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kaiser highlighted the importance of CPR and first aid awareness among students and stressed that such skills are essential for building a socially responsible, confident, and emergency-ready society. He also appreciated the efforts of Help Humans for conducting an informative and meaningful programme for the students.
The participants expressed keen interest and enthusiasm during the sessions and appreciated the opportunity to learn practical skills that can help save lives during emergencies.
The programme concluded with words of appreciation for the trainers, organisers, faculty members, and students for making the event successful, informative, and impactful.
