Gondola service in Gulmarg resumes after brief technical fault: Official

SRINAGAR, Feb 03 (KNS) : The iconic Gondola cable car service in the popular ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir resumed normal operations on Tuesday evening after a brief halt due to a technical fault, an official said.
 
The service was non-functional for about 40 minutes earlier in the day, Managing Director of Car Cable Gulmarg, Qamar Sajad, told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
 
He said the technical fault was promptly rectified by the department's teams and the service is now running normally.

He said a significant number of tourists visit Gulmarg, especially for the Gondola ride.
 
For a comfortable and memorable experience, the department is working tirelessly, he added.
 
Sajad said a police team headed by the SDPO Tangmarg Faizan Ali along with the cable car employees, are also present on the ground to ensure a safe and better experience for tourists. (KNS)
