Golden Glorious Soul: A heartfelt tribute to a true friend

Srinagar, May 07 (KNS): In order to pay glorious tribute to his late friend, Bandipora boy penned down a book ‘Golden Glorious Soul’ to mourn the loss of Aijaz Rashid Malik, a B Pharmacy student, who tragically passed away on 7th, April this year due to a massive heart attack during the holy month of Ramazan.

Bandipora boy Sharik Mir, narrates his late friend, as kind and a true soul. He said that Aijaz, was known for his kind nature and compassion, left behind a legacy of friendship and warmth.

Following his untimely departure, Aijaz's friend Sharik Mir took it upon himself to honour their cherished bond. In a heartwarming gesture, his friend published a book titled "Golden Glorious Soul," dedicated as a tribute to Aijaz.

Expressing his profound admiration, he said he feels one of the main reasons why he formed such a bond with him was because of the qualities and kindness he possessed. “I have never seen a person like him—so kind, so honest. He had been courageous enough to defend me against all odds, compassionate enough to help me, and patient enough to listen to what I had to say."

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sharik said there are several reasons behind this profound bonding. “One is his honesty and affection towards me. My life has improved in many ways by having a soul friend like Aijaz. He was always there for me, especially emotionally. If I was feeling down, he would be there to comfort me. And if I needed someone to talk, he was always there to listen. He was my shoulder to cry on, a friend who would never judge me. We have been through so many highs and lows together, but unfortunately, his sudden death has left me caged in pain, agony, and misery."

While expressing his grief, Sharik also shared his belief that Aijaz is now at peace and in a better place. "I strongly believe that wherever he is right now, he is happy there. His soul is at peace, and he will be in Jannah. I know where he is now; there are no postmen to deliver letters, but I still write. I hope he is happy and content in heaven. I miss him so terribly, but I hope he is happy and content."

Sharik’s dedication to Aijaz's memory culminated in the publication of the book "Golden Glorious Soul."

The book serves as an eternal memory and a tribute to their unbreakable bond. Overflowing with heartfelt sentiments and memories shared between the two, the book aims to keep Aijaz's spirit alive and inspire others through his remarkable qualities.

"I can't believe I'm writing this. My soulmate friend, Aijaz, has been taken away. I'm still in disbelief that this has happened. I can't come to terms with the fact that my close soul friend has been taken away," he said.

He said he was his only close soul friend and no one could ever compare with him. “He will live with me forever. I just can't believe that he is not here, and I didn't get to say goodbye. He had so much more to give. He was beautiful, smart, and an amazing friend. He will always be with me. I miss him so much,” he said. (KNS)
