Srinagar, Aug 4 (KNS): With Jammu people demanding and protesting for a separate AIIMS, the Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Tuesday said that Central Government is working positively for setting of similar kind of AIIMS in both Jammu and Srinagar.
“We are working positively on the AIIMS issue. We feel that people of Jammu as well as Srinagar need best health care facilities. The central government is working on it and I assure the people of both the regions that government will not take any decision that will hurt the people,” Union minority Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told KNS over phone from New Delhi.
He said that the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to provide equal healthcare facilities for all regions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We are committed to balanced regional growth when it comes to healthcare or other facilities,” he said.
The Jammu region has observed several strikes over the demand of separate and full-fledged AIIMS for Jammu. Interestingly National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Monday had proposed that all party delegation from Jammu and Kashmir be formed to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the demand of setting up of an AIIMS in Jammu.
