Appeals youth to follow narrative of peace, development

Sopore, Apr 04 (KNS): In a first, General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based Army's 15 Corps, Lieutenant General D P Pandey Monday visited Sopore town of Baramulla district and interacted with local shopkeepers and surrendered militants. 
 
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that DP Pandey interacted with the local shopkeepers and surrendered militants near clock tower in Sopore chowk, besides took a walk along busy streets of the town. 
 
Meanwhile, talking to media persons there, he said that there is an atmosphere of peace prevailing in the Kashmir Valley, while security grid is also fully prepared to deal with any kind of situation. 
 
On being asked about recent petrol bomb attack on a CRPF bunker in Sopore, he said that it is only possible to control such attacks when society rises up against the nexus that is trying to push militancy in Kashmir. 
 
GOC, while praying for peace and development of Kashmir appealed to the youth of the Valley to change the narrative that had existed for years. 
 
"Youth too should follow the narrative of peace and development so that peace prevails in the Valley forever,” he said. (KNS)
