 Handwara July 20: Maj Gen Ajay Chandpuria, VSM, GOC 19 Infantry Division visited the NCC Camp being organised by 3 J&K Battalion NCC at Naugam under aegis of Naugam Brigade. Upon arrival the General Officer was given an impressive Guard of Honour by the NCC Cadets. Witnessing their synchronised movements and immaculate turnout, the General Officer complimented the cadets and felicitated them. 


The NCC cadets were thereafter addressed by the GOC who motivated them to learn and work hard to achieve success in life.  

The cadets presented a cultural and patriotic display during the visit that revived the love for motherland among the audience and fellow cadets. 
Providing a novel experience of the forward areas to the cadets, the NCC camp which started on 12 Jul 22, is now in the nineth day of its schedule and will culminate on 21 Jul 22. The camp consisted of multi dimensional training for the cadets. 

They were imparted  physical training, drill, weapons training and were taught the fundamentals of military and leadership under the expert guidance of qualified instructors. A group picnic and weapons display was also organised for the cadets. 

The camp aimed at moulding the cadets into motivated youth with leadership qualities who will have the flair to serve the nation with loyalty.

 This camp is  conducted under guidance of  Brig K S Kalsi, Group Commander NCC Group, Srinagar and sustained efforts by Col Ravinder Singh, CO 3 J&K Bn NCC, Baramulla to conduct Combined Annual Training Camp in the higher reaches of North Kashmir.
This unique expedition attracted tremendous enthusiasm among the locals who have shown a deep inclination to be a part of the armed forces. 

The camp has rejuvenated the spirit of patriotism among young cadets who have resolved to serve their motherland till last breath. 
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united and disciplined citizens of the nation.

 It is one of the essential organisations which has played an instrumental role in capacity building not just for the Indian Army but for the entire nation.(KNS)
