Srinagar, Jan 27 (KNS) : To ensure healthcare resilience during the ongoing severe weather spell, the top administration of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar on Tuesday conducted comprehensive inspections of major associated hospitals.
Principal and Dean of GMC Srinagar, Professor Dr. Iffat Hassan, led the review tour alongside the Administrator of Associated Hospitals, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak.
A senior health official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the inspection encompassed key facilities including the Children's Hospital Bemina, Lal Ded Hospital, Chest Disease Hospital, Bone & Joint Hospital, and the Kashmir Nursing Home.
During the visit, Professor Hassan undertook a thorough assessment of preparedness measures and issued explicit directives to the Medical Superintendents of each institution. She stressed the critical need to maintain all patient care services without disruption, with particular focus on the availability of essential medicines, round-the-clock emergency services, and operational critical care units he said.

"Patient care, especially during these harsh weather conditions, cannot be compromised. There will be zero tolerance for any lapses in service delivery," Prof. Hassan stated the official said.
The health official further added the inspection team was also accompanied by Personnel Officer Bashir Ahmad Bhat and other senior officers from the GMC administration.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) Mohammad Ashraf Hakak assured that complete administrative and logistical support is being provided to the hospitals.
He said that all relevant departments are on high alert to manage any weather-related contingencies.
The Medical Superintendents of the visited hospitals reported that all essential facilities are fully functional and adequate staff has been deployed to ensure seamless healthcare delivery to the public he added. (KNS)
