GMC Srinagar Bids Farewell to Six Retiring Employees, Including Senior Surgeon

 Srinagar, Feb 28 (KNS) ; Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar on Saturday honoured six of its employees, including a senior professor, who superannuated from service recently, acknowledging their contribution to healthcare and medical education in the valley.

 
A farewell function was organised by the college administration to bid adieu to Prof. Dr. Shakeel Ahmad from the Department of Surgery, Mtr Shamshada Akhter, Principal of AMT School, and four other technical and support staff members.
 
The retiring officials also included Mukhtar Jan (Lab Technician), Mohammad Shafi (Xerox Assistant), Tariq Ahmad (Senior X-Ray Technician), and Showkat Ahmad (ECG Technician).
 
Presiding over the event, GMC Principal and Dean Prof. Dr. Iffat Hassan lauded the dedication of the retiring employees, stating that their "tireless efforts in providing quality healthcare services will be remembered with deep respect.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel" The retirees were presented with mementos and certificates of appreciation as tokens of gratitude.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Chalkoo from the Department of Surgery described the outgoing staff as "pillars of strength" for the institution. "Their dedication to healthcare will serve as an inspiration for us all," he added.
 
GMC Administrator Mohammad Ashraf Hakak also acknowledged the professionalism and compassion exhibited by each retiree during their tenure.
 
The event was attended by faculty members including Prof. Dr. Saleem Yattoo, Deputy Registrar Bashir Ahmad Bhat, and other medical, paramedical, and administrative staff, who wished the retiring employees a fulfilling post-retirement life. (KNS)
