Bandipora, Sep 14(KNS): Government Girls Higher Secondary school on Tuesday released a newly designed magazine in its school auditorium in presence of officers, staff members, and students during grand function.
The prospectus was released by Chief Education Bandipora who was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Among the others who were present on the occasion include Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora , Zonal Education Officer Bandipora , Principal Higher Secondary Aloosa Mohammad Ramzan Principal GHSS Mohammad Rafiq Parrey.
The magazine releasing ceremony is the first of its kind in the history of school in over few scenes played by the respective groups of students during the course of the programme.
Chief Education Officer Bandipora praised the efforts of the school management and termed the ceremony as the trendsetter across the valley.
He said “it is first release ceremony of its kind and will set a trend across the valley”. He said it is an important step in the effort to bring Government schools at par with private schools of the valley.
The school committee that was set for its release and trained the students for the event includes Ishtiyaq Hussain Samoon who also carried the proceedings of the event, Mudasir Ahmad & Malik Nazir Ahmad.
“The school magazine is the first of its kind and its conception and subsequent release is an attempt to go beyond the dreary ways of seeking admission in various courses.
The magazine has glossy pages showcasing the achievements, objectives and the targets achieved by the schools besides the details of the subjects offered by the institution. It has an attractive the cover page with profound message from the Principal of the school, Muhammad Rafiq Parray while Malik Nazir, a teacher of the institution has framed the Preamble of the school.
The magazine provides detailed information about the possible courses\stream combinations and the faculty of the school; the purpose of which is to ensure easy decision making for the students who intend on taking various courses in the school.
Besides that, the magazine also contains important guidelines and general information for the students seeking admission to the school.
Information about diverse co-curricular activities taken up in the school and various accomplishments by previous students are also highlighted to make the incoming students understand the functioning of the institute properly.
All the dignitaries present at the occasion appreciated the idea and congratulated the Principal and Nazir Ahmad Malik and the faculty of the school for an innovative initiative.(KNS).
