Ghulam Hassan Mir Meets LG Manoj Sinha, Seeks Reopening of Tourist Spots in Gulmarg

 Srinagar, Feb 10: Apni Party Vice President and former Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on Tuesday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the prevailing political situation in Jammu and Kashmir and various public issues.

 
During the meeting, Mir urged the Lieutenant Governor to reopen several tourist destinations in the Gulmarg area, including Baderkoot, Gogaldara and Ringawali. He said these locations were recently identified as new tourist spots to manage and balance the increasing footfall in Gulmarg.
 
Mir stated that the areas are secured and were developed to ease pressure on existing tourist destination of Gulmarg.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHowever, he said they were closed following the Pahalgam incident, which has affected local tourism activity.
 
He requested the Lieutenant Governor to throw open these destinations for visitors to revive tourism and support the local economy.
 
The Lieutenant Governor assured Mir that the matter would be examined.
 
Mir also discussed several other public issues with the Lieutenant Governor during the meeting.(KNS)
