Baramulla ,31 May (KNS): Govt Higher Secondary School Delina conducted a webinar on World No Tobacco Day 2021. The virtual event was attended by worthy Principal HSS Delina, ZEO Singapora Kalan, Headmasters of GHS Delina, Jahama and Kanispora, District Cultural Coordinator Mr Nazir Ahmad and ZRPs.

Besides a good number of teachers and students participated. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad. Mr Qazi talked in length on the topic and threw light on socio-political and legal aspects of the tobacco problem.

 A number of students presented their thoughts and suggested measures to curb the menace. Others who spoke on the occasion include Lect Maqsooda Akhtar, Lect Syed Suraya, Mr A.R Bakshi and Mr Nayeem Ahmad.

Among students, Seema Khursheed of HSS Delina, Abiroo Jaan of GHS Delina and Baseerat Jaan of HSS Delina bagged first, Second and Third positions respectively.  

Worthy Principal Ab Rashid Ganai in his presidential address thanked all the participants and assured full cooperation to District Cultural Wing for the celebration of future events at HSS Delina. He appreciated all the students who participated and the staff members who shared their valuable thoughts.(KNS)
