Expresses deep concern over developing a playfield on graveyard in Samba

Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani while reiterating his demand for the return of mortal remains of both Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohamad Afzal Guru, said, although it is purely a human issue, India is very reluctant to this demand thereby violating all the principles of ethics and human values.
According to a statement issued to KNS, strongly criticizing state administration for clamping curfew like restrictions, curbs, crackdown against resistance leaders and arresting Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Raja Meraj u Din, Mohamad Ashraf Laya, Mohamad Yasin Ataie, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Omer Adil Dar and scores of other activists, said that state authorities will have to face people’s wrath and resentment and all these arbitrary arrests is synonymous to disrespect for our brave hearts, Geelani Sahab said.
Seeking the mortal remains of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru, Syed Ali Geelani said that nation today pays homage to the valiant son of soil & while referring to last letter written by Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru, Hurriyat Chairman said that it clearly illustrates that he was an ideological person and his emotions were having the backing of faith, intellect and conscience. Hailing Mohammad Afzal Guru for his valour and commitment, Syed Ali Geelani said that he emerged as an ideal, symbol of dedication and commitment.
Pro-freedom Leader said that they sacrificed their precious lives for the better future of the nation. He is an ideal and his determination and dedication set precedence for our young generation.
Today on his 4th anniversary prayer ceremony was organized to pay tribute to our hero, however state authorities laid curbs, restrictions and arrested hundreds of political activists. We strongly condemn police action and it is sheer bullying and highhandedness, said Syed Ali Geelani. India with its military might is desperate to suppress our mission but despite all this our next generations is more determined, vigilant and sensitive enough about freedom movement, said Syed Ali Geelani.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani while expressing his deep concern over developing a playfield on the graveyard & demolishing more than forty graves during the drive-in Samba Jammu.
In a statement issued to KNS, warning authorities Geelani said that Muslim communities are being targeted and harassed on the behest of communal forces. It will have dire consequences if not stopped for now, Said Syed Ali Geelani.
State administration is working on the directions of a BJP cabinet minister and revenue records reveal that said piece of land is sole property of Aqaf-e-Islamia and since long was notified for grave yard, said Syed Ali Geelani.
Hurriyat Chairman blamed coalition regime and said that from the very inception of coalition, they are exercising their shrived plans against Muslim community and they are being harassed on one pretext or the other. Syed Ali Geelani said that these groups since long are playing foul and properties and lands belonging to Muslim community were grabbed and trespassed.
Referring to communal sections, Hurriyat Chairman said that these people claim mosques and grave yards their properties and whenever Muslim communities resent their claims, they are beleaguered and victimized.
Pro-freedom Leader while referring to Ramban episode said that all these sick minded people and sections are making conspiracies against Muslims and harassing them. We are keeping strict vigil & we will fight tooth & nail if harassment is not stopped. (KNS)
