Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): Chairman Hurriyat (G), Syed Ali Geelani on Monday hailing the services and sacrifices of three slain youth in Salar Pahlgam, said that we are indebted to them and their sacrifices won’t go waste.
According to a statement issued to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani in his telephonic message to mourners, said that stubborn attitude of India is the main cause for continuous bloodshed in state and it is the root cause of uncertainty in sub-continent. He in his speech said that I am sure and confident that we will achieve our cherished goal and while quoting Holy Quran and hailing the sacrifices rendered by youth of state, said that those who lay their precious lives for a sacred cause never die and their memories serve a source of inspirations for next generations. Hurriyat Chairman said that we are indebted to these martyrs and obliged to follow their mission with, zeal and sincerity. Geelani Sahab in his address said that nation has presented unparalleled services and sacrifices and we are duty bound to safeguard these and remain vigilant and cautious, stressing to remain aware about the sinister designs of puppets and stooges. Pro-Freedom leader said that we need to keep distance and never lend Delhi groomed henchmen any kind of support or otherwise it will make our destination a complex one. While referring to India and its deceitful politics, Geelani sahab said that any flaw or any type of support to puppets is misrepresented in international flora by Delhi. Expressing his sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families, Hurriyat Chairman said that we feel their pain and whole nation share their grief.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) in a statement issued to KNS, expressed satisfaction and pleasure over conferring honorary degree of Doctorate to Hurriyat chairman, Syed Ali Geelani and said that it is recognition of his sacrifices and lifelong services for freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThis is appreciation for his literary work, said Hurriyat. We consider this a precious prize and honour for the whole nation and it has infused a new lease of life in ongoing freedom movement. Monday, spokesman, Ayaz Akbar said that today in a graceful convocation, Chancellor Mirpur University, President Azad Kashmir, Sardar Masood Ahmad Khan conferred honorary doctorate to Syed Ali Geelani. Spokesman said because of non availability of travel documents he couldn’t attend the event and instead representative for Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Gh Mohammad Safi received the doctorate on behalf of Syed Ali Geelani. Vice Chancellor Mir Pur University, prof Dr Habib u Rehman and other dignitaries including member legislatives and opposition leaders graced the occasion. Prominent among those addressed the events include president Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmad Khan and other prominent guests paid their tributes to Syed Ali Geelani for his services and commitment with Kashmir cause. They while hailing literary contribution of Geelani Sahab said that his services are laudable and his dedication and commitment serves a guideline for others to follow. They said that Geelani Sahab stood with steadfastness and his services has infused a new spirit in freedom movement and has emerged as an icon and beacon light for whole nation, said participants. They said that Geelani Sahab serves as an inspiration for youth community and their sprit gets stimulating power because of his devotion with Kashmir freedom struggle. Spokesman in his statement thanked President Azad Kashmir, Sardar Masood Ahmad Khan and all other dignitaries and those who arranged the event and said that this serves an honour for whole nation and the step has infused a new life in freedom movement.
