Srinagar, Jun 02 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was Thursday awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Reports said that the announcement was made by the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, in two day International Kashmir Seminar organised by the university.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
On the occasion university’s Vice Chancellor Dr Prof Habib ur Rehman was also present.
“Vice Chancellor later called up Syed Ali Geelani acknowledging his work as an author of 40 books and also lauded his role in the resistance movement of Kashmir,” a senior Hurriyat (G) leader said. (KNS)
