Srinagar Mar 6 (KNS): While expressing his deep sorrow, grief and shock over the death of Lassa Khan of Kokarnag who had shouldered coffins of 4 sons and 2 nephews, Chairman of Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani Sunday prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
In a statement issued to KNS from New Delhi, Geelani said that Lassa Khan was a symbol of tragedies and repression which is being inflicted over the Kashmiris and his is the story of about every household of Kashmir.
Geelani said that Lassa Khan had suffered a sea of tragedies throughout his life and today his death has shocked the entire nation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“I want to make a humble appeal to the Immams of the Masjids to organize special prayers for the deceased soul and I also appeal to the people to protect and respect the huge sacrifices of Lassa Khan like souls and don’t be part of any such activity which can in any way harm the mission of our martyrs,” he said.
Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leaders Bashir Ahmad Qurashi and Sheikh Mohammad Ramzan participated in the funeral prayers of Lassa Khan and extended condolence message to the bereaved family. (KNS)
