Srinagar, Jul 14 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Friday said that India is claiming to be a great democracy in world, however all its claims are proving hollow and instead they follow their bigoted dogma and their approach is quite barbaric and haughty.
He denounced the attack on Yatries and said that we seriously condemn this. Referring to teachings of Islam Syed Ali Geelani said that we hail human values as Islam teaches us to uphold and respect ethics and human lives. Hailing youth for their exemplary and sympathetic approach towards injured Yatries, Syed Ali Geelani said that it is what Islam teaches us.
Geelani said that India forcibly occupied state, saying Kashmir is a disputed territory and we are pursuing a legitimate struggle.
Lashing at Indian authorities for their barbaric and inhuman approach, Syed Ali Geelani said that “tyranny and oppression have touched heights in Kashmir and all rights and liberties of people have disappeared.
Six lakh people were martyred since last seventy years and more than six hundred grave yards stand testimony that people in state are facing worst type of tyranny from occupational forces, added Syed Ali Geelani.
Our ten thousand youth disappeared in forces custody and in nook and corner of state there are more than 7600 unmarked graves and nobody known about those buried in these graves, added he.
Syed Ali Geelani said that today, we pay our heartfelt tributes to all martyrs and especially those slain on 13thJuly 1931.
They sacrificed their precious lives to save us from slavery, brutality, oppression and imperialism, added Syed Ali Geelani.
Indian authorities have no sympathy with us instead they are interested to continue their occupation with its military might, said Syed Ali Geelani and added that they with sole aim to continue their grip are resorting to mindless killings in state, added he.
I want to make it clear that war is neither option nor a solution, said Geelani and added that all issues can be resolved through dialogue only. We stress that resolution passed in UNO be implemented in letter & spirit and let people decide their future course of political destiny of state, said he.
Ridiculing the claims of Indian authorities that people of Jammu and Kashmir want to stay with India, Syed Ali Geelani said that 95 percent of population in state want independence from India and challenging Indian authorities, Geelani said that let India withdraw its forces and it will let them know the aspiration of people about their political destiny.
Commenting over the unity among resistance leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, Syed Ali Geelani said that we have forged alliance and it will be maintained at all costs in future too.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe appeal people to act on the joint-led programs, added he.
Meanwhile, Huriyat called statement of Indian Minister Mr. Jitendra Singh as meaningless and non-realistic. Friday in a statement Huriyat said these pointless and arrogant statements can’t change the discourse and reality of Kashmir dispute.
People in state have out rightly rejected their claim and are pursuing their rightful struggle since past seven decades.
The status of Kashmir is internationally accepted reality, said Hurriyat and added that India, Pakistan and international community stand witness to this fact.
In such an environment, Indian rulers should also review their thinking and abandon such deprived policies, which have no destination, said Huriyat
Rhetoric about being an integral part is a nothing but a mockery and can’t change the reality about the disputed status of Kashmir.
Hurriyat spokesperson said that the world is changing swiftly and international scenario is changing and all issues related to disputed territories are resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding.
Better to revisit its haughty policy, said spokesman and asked Indian authorities to shun its stubborn approach.
India is claiming to be a large republic of the world, however Kashmir issue    stands as a big question mark and refutes its claim.
Millions of people are dying in India due to starvation and on the other hand, they are spending a huge chunk of finance over armory and on other military expenses.
Kashmir issue is just an issue of ego for Indian authorities, said spokesman, thus punishing millions of people both in India and disputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Huriyat asked Dr Jitendra Sigh and other Indian leaders to accept realities and abandon the rhetorical about Kashmir.
A common atmosphere of non-confidence has been developed and it is pulsing the ritual of human relationships.
Huriyat in its statement stressed Dr Jitendra Singh and other authorities and asked to abandon the rhetoric and accept ground realities about Kashmir issue.
Hurriyat in its statement while hailing the China's statement over Kashmir statement and said that China being a neighboring country can play a positive role in the final solution of this long pending issue.
Since Kashmir dispute has become a threat to the peace of the entire region and a powerful country like China cannot remain silent for this situation, added spokesman. (KNS)
