Srinagar, Sep 20 (KNS): Terming the arrest of resistance leaders, activists and youth as ‘unjustified’ and ‘dissolute’, Hurriyat (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani on Tuesday condemned the slapping of Public Safety Act on party’s spokesman, Ayaz Akbar and Noor Mohammad Kalwal and sending them to Kot Balwal jail.
In a statement issued to KNS, Geelani said that pro-freedom leaders and activists won’t succumb to arbitrary measures and will continue to fight for the rights of people and against forces occupation till their last breath.
Hurriyat (G) chairman said that continuous detention of ailing leader Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has taken a toll on his health, which is deteriorating with each passing day.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Lamenting authorities for continuous detention of Mirwaiz Molvi Umer Farooq, Mohamad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ad Zahid Ali, human rightist activist Khuram Pervaiz, Geelani said that despite tall claims about “Insaniyat, Jamhoriyat and battle of ideas,’’ New Delhi and its ‘puppets’ are doing against all ethics and international norms.
