Geelani condemns re-arrest of Aalam

Terms it as worst state terrorism

Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNS): While terming the re-arrest of Masarat Alam Bhat and preparing for another that is 31st PSA for him as the worst kind of state terrorism, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that it is very shameful and highly condemnable on the part of Indian democratic claims that an entire state is at war with a single person and he is continuously being subjected to the political vengeance.
Geelani in a statement said that the PSA has been termed as a “Lawless Law” by the international human rights organization Amnesty International and had termed its application as serious violations of human rights but in Jammu & Kashmir this law is the favorite weapon of war for the government used to suppress and silence the peaceful and genuine voices of the pro-freedom people.
He said that 82 civilians have been booked under this lawless law in 2015 only.
Geelani said that Masarat Alam Bhat is the prominent pro-freedom leader of Kashmir who is peacefully and politically struggling for the freedom of Jammu & Kashmir but the state government, police and the Indian media mafia is producing him as if he is an armed man roaming in the streets of Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that Indian agencies are actually subjecting him to the political vengeance. These agencies follow the policy of “fabricate and kill” and it is their age old practice.
Geelani also expressed his reservations about the safety of Masarat Alam Bhat and said that he could be killed under the wicked plans of the communal elements.
He however cautioned that any untoward with the pro-freedom leader will trigger a strong and serious reaction and all its responsibility will be on the government.
Hurriyat (G) Chairman appealed all the local and international human rights organizations to take serious notice of the PSA slapped over Masarat Alam Bhat and use their influence for his release. (KNS)
