Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the statement of Mehbooba Mufti in which she had said that “Pigeons can’t be left for the cats” and said that the lady has lost her mental balance after attaining the power. Comparing Kashmiris as cats is very humiliating statement on the part of Mehbooba Mufti. He said that the cats are those Indian occupational forces who had massacred lakhs of Muslims in 1947 in Jammu region and who are mercilessly killing the innocent Kashmiris since last 69 years. The people who had slaughtered thousands of innocent people in Handwara, Kupwara, Sopore, Hawal, Bijbihara, Gow Kadal, Wandhama and Chatti Singhpora massacres. Police today completely banned the book release function at Hyderpora in which a book named “Kashmir-Aatish Zair-e-Paa” authored by a prominent writer and intellectual Hassan Zaingeeri , was to be released by the Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani. While breaking the police cordon, Geelani however came out of his house and released the said book on the airport road. While terming the banning of book release function as worst kind of state terrorism, Hurriyat Chairman condemned this government action in very strong words. He said that this action is against the freedom of expression and have no moral or constitutional justifications. While explaining the importance of the said book, Geelani said that it should reach every household in Kashmir and every educated Kashmiri must read it. It is a research book on the anti-Muslim policies of RSS and Sangh Parivar with solid evidences. The author of the book Hassan Zaingeeri , Dr. Sheikh Showkat (HOD law department KU), Peer Saifullah and Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid were also present on the occasion. To sabotage the book release function, the police earlier cordoned off the Hyderpora area and arrested many persons including Hurriyat leaders Abdul Ahad Parra and Mohammad Akram Najjar. While rejecting the statement of Miss Mehbooba Mufti regarding the Sainik colonies and the transit camps for the Pandits, Hurriyat Chairman said that it is a deliberate attempt to deceive the public and to create confusion amoung them. While terming the statement of Mehbooba Mufti about the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to their native places as very unfortunate, Geelani said that she is trying to defame the Kashmiri nation. He however said that the whole Kashmiri nation is like pigeons and the role of cats is being played by the Indian occupational forces who are mercilessly killing the innocent Kashmiri people (pigeons) and are destroying their nests too.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelGeelani said that there is no threat to the Kashmiri Pandits if they will return to their native places and they can peacefully live with their Muslim brothers there. Geelani reminded Mehbooba Mufti that there are hundreds of Pandit families living in Kashmir with their Muslim brethren and they did not left the Valley. They are not only safe at their native places but their Muslim neighbors share their every grief. Even the Muslim neighbors perform the last rites of their Pandit brethren. We will welcome our Pandit brethren on their Ghar Wapsi and they will get respect and love from their Muslim neighbors alike in the past. He said that nobody will have objection if government will provide them 30 lahk rupees instead of 20 for their rehabilitation. While rejecting the statement of Mehbooba Mufti about the Sainaik colonies, Geelani said that according to her even if the retired forces personals of the state are planned to be settled in these colonies, even then there is no justifications in establishing such settlements. He said that after retirement every employee whether he is civil servant or the forces personal prefers to go to his home so there is no reason for creation of separate colonies for the retired persons. If it will become a trend then every serviceman who serves the state will demand their separate colony and they will create an unbearable burden for the state. Geelani said that a long term plan of RSS is actually behind the creation of these Sainik colonies and it is aimed to change the demographic character of the Jammu & Kashmir. He said that there is no guarantee that the non-state subjects will not be settled in these colonies. The pro-freedom leader said that the in-house statement of Mehbooba mufti is just to pacify the public anger otherwise she also knows that there is no need or reason for creation of separate colonies for the retired forces personals of the state. While terming the statement that “Chair is not my weakness” by the Mehbooba Mufti as ridicules and baseless, Geelani said that Mehbooba Ji is helping the implementation of Nagpur agendas in the state just for the chair and is deceiving her nation by her lies. Geelani said that if a little bit conscience would have been present in Mehbooba Mufti and her colleague, then they would not have supported the fanatic communal forces in the state, instead they would have sided with their subjugated nation and had tried to protect their honour, individuality, and their Muslim identity.
