Srinagar, Dec 30 (KNS): While strongly condemning the detention of Hurriyat (G) leaders and activists in police stations on the occasion of protest demonstration in Lalchowk and house imprisonment of some pro-freedom leaders, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that the state of Jammu & Kashmir has been virtually converted into a Jungle where the VDC terrorists are roaming free and the people protesting against this killer force are being detained in police stations and jails.
While reiterating his demand of disbanding the VDC terrorist force, Syed Ali Geelani in a statement to KNS said that only BJP from the government’s side has spoken till date over this issue who are openly supporting the killer VDCs. But the Mufti Sayeed as a head of the state is still silent over this sensitive issue.
He said that Mufti is maintaining a criminal silence and he didn’t even spoke a single word over the killing of the three civilians in the Rajouri district by these terrorists.
Geelani said that since the inception of the BJP-PDP coalition government in the state, the graph of human rights violations and the political uncertainty and instability in the state is increasing with an alarming trend. The law and order has been practically banned in the Jammu & Kashmir and a martial law like situation has been created in the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (G) Chairman said that the status of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been reduced to just a show boy and the Indian home ministry is directly ruling the state. This situation has terrorized the common people particularly in the Jammu region where besides army, paramilitary forces and police, the VDC terrorists are deployed in the Muslim populations.
Geelani appealed the international and local human rights organizations to take serious notice of the excesses and oppression of the VDC like illegal armed force and use their influence to help us in achieving our demand of disbanding this terrorist group.
Meanwhile Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani also strongly condemned the arrest of Mohammad Yaseen Bhat S/o Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Adil Ahmad Dar S/o Abdul Rasheed Dar and Javaid Ahmad Dar S/o Ali Mohammad Dar (Bijbehara) by the police and detaining them in JIC Khanabal and raiding the houses of other 15 students of the area and harassing their families. He said that it is the extreme of the state terrorism and demanded immediate release of all the detained youths. (KNS)
