Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday condemned the continuous detention of Hurriyat leader and Muslim League chairman, Masarat Aalam.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar quoting the party chief, Geelani as saying, “It is unfortunate that despite court orders, Police continue to place Aalam under detention, which is also glaring example of state terrorism,” he said.
Geelani said that a day after court granted his bail plea, the authorities have shifted him to Police Station Shaheed Gunj for four days remand in a case under no 28/2010 under section 124 A, 120 B, 505, 506 RPC.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He demanded immediate release of Aalam and other political leaders who are languishing in different jails across the state.
Geelani further appealed Human Rights Organization and other rights bodies to take notice on such kind of rights violations and play their role. (KNS)
