Srinagar, Jun 30 (KNS): All J&K Graduate engineers Association Civil held an emergency meeting today at its Jammu Head Quarters.
The main agenda of the meeting was extension of full support to State Joint Action committee of Graduate Engineers Association (Civil, electrical and mechanical) for its decision to go for democratic agitational path.
The Executive Committee in one voice were of the view point that time has now come that the engineers need to come on roads like doctors to get their genuine long pending issues resolved. It was also decided that besides protests at State Head quarters, the protests will also be organized at all the district HQs followed by sending the memorandum through DDCs to HE Governor of J&K State, State Advisors, Chief Secretary and concerned Administrative Secretaries.
Further, it was decided that engineers from all cadres viz Chief Engineers, Superitending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers will join the historic agitation starting with mass casual leave, protests, protest march(Rallies) towards Governor House followed by snap down of essential services (if required).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
It was also decided to involve diploma associations in the mass agitation as the present issues pertains to both the association's which include Running grades(ACP), Regularisation of services of engineers at all levels, restoration of entry grade of Junior engineers. The casual approach of the government for resolving the long pending issues of engineers and non issuance of SRO of ACP even after two years of State Cabinet decision in the erstwhile government and also verbal approval made by Governor during the meeting of SJAC was criticized.
