Addresses Womens Wing meeting at Nawa E Subha
Srinagar, 07 Oct (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference State Women’s Wing President and Hon’ble MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous Tuesday presided over a meeting of the Women’s Wing functionaries and office bearers at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
In her address, the MLA asked party workers to gear up for the upcoming Budgam by-elections. She emphasized the need to carry the message of Omar Abdullah’s people-centric governance to every household, despite the growing challenges imposed by non-elected officials running the show from behind the curtain.
"The elected government led by Omar Abdullah is being continuously obstructed by the unelected part of the administration helmed by the LG and a coterie of bureaucrats who answer to no one," she said adding, "Despite this, Omar Sahib continues to deliver, reaching people where the administration has failed."

The leaders criticized New Delhi’s continued betrayal of its promise to restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
“What was promised as a temporary arrangement has turned into a prolonged period of political uncertainty and disenfranchisement,” she said.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir were promised dignity, development, and democratic rights. Instead, they’ve been handed silence,and bureaucratic rule.”
Later Shameema Firdous visited the Ganpatyar area of Habba Kadal where a devastating fire had gutted several houses. She expressed her sympathies to the affected families and issued on-spot directions to the district administration to provide them with adequate relief and compensation.(KNS)
