Karnah Dec 25:(KNS) Govt degree College Tangdhar in collaboration with District Hub for Empowerment of Women Kupwara organised an extensive door to door awareness programme in Badwan an Tribal, far-off Village of Karnah in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Female students of the college participated in the door to door campaign in order to aware the general masses particularly females about various female and child centric welfare schemes of Centre and State/UT Government. The students carried the activity with great enthusiasm which evoked a great response from inhabitants.
The awareness programme was followed by a trekking expedition by female students towards upper heights of Badwan village up to 'Danna' which is being propagated as a attractive local tourist destination. Both the activities were coordinated by Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad under the supervision of officiating Principal Prof Haroon Rashid other faculty members including Prof Tariq Ahmad Shah, Dr. Ajaz-ul-Haq and Prof Ajaz Ahmad Padroo also participated in the day long programme.(KNS)
