Srinagar, May 31(KNS): The Group of Concerned Citizens, J&K ( GCC ) has written to the Home Department( Government of J&K) to consider shifting of detainees from jails outside J &K to jails within J&K on humanitarian grounds as the family members and relatives of the detainees have to face physical and mental trauma in travelling to places outside J&K to meet their kith and kin lodged in jails there.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The GCC has also appealed for review of detention of those PSA detainees who have spent long years in jail, are old and suffering from various illnesses. The GCC has hoped that LG's administration will consider the two demands favourably to facilitate the families and the detainees.(KNS).
