Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): The GB hospital today installed a state- of-art Auto analyser in its general laboratory where almost all tests including Microbiology, Bio chemistry and haematology shall be conducted.
Medical Superintendent of the Valley’s only pediatrics hospital, Dr Shafaqat Khan told KNS that the step will bring much-needed convenience to the infant patients and their attendants.
“Only Immunology related tests shall now be performed outside the hospital.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe have also submitted a proposal to the GMC for installation of MRI facilities and EEG for patients within the hospital,” Dr Khan said.
He said that machinery for a licensed blood bank has been procured earlier that is awaiting clearance from the DFCO regarding the license. “A full pledged blood bank shall be commissioned within next 15 days. In the past only storage facilities were only available,” he said. (KNS)
