Srinagar, Jan 22 (KNS): The residents of Ganderbal are aghast over opposition of implementing buffer stock in Ganderbal by National Conference MLA Sheikh Ishafaq Jabbar.
Buffer stock is created by education minister out of his CDF which provides transformers, electric poles, conductor for repairing HT, LT lines. Especially in harsh winter when there is need of such things.
The MLA Ganderbal recently raised a question against the utilization of stock in ongoing session of Assembly and opposed its implementation in many areas of Ganderbal.
The residents showed strong resentments against the MLA and asked him to refrain from his “anti-people” policies.
Bilal Ahmad Bhat, a resident from Shallabugh Ganderbal said, “Power transmission lines were installed in our village and gave a lot of relief to public. But the local MLA opposed its installation and is harassing PDD officials time and again for utilizing the stock.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe approach by MLA is anti people and anti developmental,” he alleged and asked him to refrain from it.
“The Government should audit the CDF of MLA as we never noticed his CDF in developmental works; we want to know about usage of his CDF,” Bhat demanded.
Sofi Mohammad Altaf, another resident from Sherpathri Ganderbal said " I am amazed how an elected representative opposed the good of his constituency, he should instead be grateful of Education Minister for creating buffer stock out of his CDF.”
The locals while praising Akhter for personally coordinating the constituency and making implementation of developmental works transparent in the constituency, said, “Otherwise it was duty of our elected representative, but he failed on our aspirations.” (KNS)
