Srinagar December 18 (KNS): Prominent social and political activist Basit Hayat Zargar on Sunday said that the central government led by PM Modi can consider the Jammu Kashmir as one of the venue to host G20 event to showcase the Naya Kashmir to the global leaders.
In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Basit Zargar said that the in recent years, the Jammu Kashmir has seen significant development and massive decline in militancy incidents. The situation is quite normal, as never before, he said.
Since the country will host over 200 meetings in over 50 cities across India. Hosting an event of G20 in Jammu Kashmir, would be a historical opportunity to offer G20 delegates and guests a glimpse of J&K’s rich cultural heritage, tourism, particularly a Naya Kashmir that erupted after 370.
Zagar also appreciated the central government and LG administration for bring Jammu Kashmir to new heights of Development. The new ecosystem of self-employment, peace, prosperity and development scenario prevailing here would be written in history of Jammu Kashmir, he added.(KNS)
